SB Nation report suggest Chelsea will be the opponent in the 2012 MLS All-Star Game.

Chelsea will be the opponent in this year's MLS All-Star Game at PPL Park, according to a report at Brotherly Game. This would mark the fifth straight year that the MLS All-Stars have been matched up against an English Premier League team and the seventh time in eight years that this has happened. This would also be the second time the MLS All-Stars have played Chelsea, with the Blues winning the previous matchup 1-0 back in 2006.

Lending credence to the accuracy to the report is the fact that Chelsea has already announced a summer friendly tour. Among the games they will be playing are one against the Seattle Sounders on July 18 and another against AC Milan on July 28 in Washington, DC.

Although Chelsea has fallen on somewhat hard times in English Premier League play -- sitting fifth in the table -- they currently hold a 1-0 aggregate lead over Benefica in this year's UEFA Champions League quarterfinals and are still one of the more star-studded teams in the world.
