Toronto FC Vs. Columbus Crew, 2012 MLS: Bernardo Anor's Gives Crew 1-0 Win

Bernardo Anor scored in the 56th minute to provide game's only score as the Columbus Crew beat Trillium Cup rivals Toronto FC 1-0 on Saturday at BMO Field. Toronto FC had several promising scoring chances, but put just three shots on goal and rarely tested Crew goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum, who was starting in place of Will Hesmer.

TFC appeared to catch a break late in the first half when Milos Kocic was able to save Milovan Mirosevic's penalty. The Crew had won the penalty on a dubious call in which Olman Vargas was barely touched -- if at all -- and never really had a play on the ball anyway.

The Crew are now at least temporarily tied for second place in the Eastern Conference. TFC, meanwhile, remains winless in three MLS matches despite the fact that they have advanced to the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals and are tied 1-1 with Santos Laguna heading into the second leg.
