Arsenal Vs. AC Milan, 2012 UEFA Champions League: Lineups

Stay connected with SB Nation

Arsenal are trailing AC Milan by four goals and need an absolute miracle to progress to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. They aren't sending out a youth team because, well ... they don't have much youth to send out. Most of Arsenal's good young players and reserves are injured. They're playing some kind of 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 with three true wingers because they only have two fit midfielders. One of Theo Walcott or Gervinho will probably play as a striker. AC Milan have selected a first choice team for the most part, and have elected to sit some borderline players.

Arsenal Lineup (4-4-2): Szczesny; Gibbs, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Sagna; Gervinho, Song, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Walcott, van Persie

AC Milan Lineup (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Mesbah, Thiago Silva, Mexes, Abate; Emmanuelson, van Bommel, Nocerino; Robinho; El Shaarawy, Ibrahimovic

Kickoff is at 2:45 p.m. ET, 7:45 p.m. local time from Emirates Stadium in London, England. You can catch the game on FOX Soccer Channel in the USA, Sportsnet World in Canada and Sky Sports in the UK.
