Arsenal Vs. AC Milan, 2012 UEFA Champions League: Tomas Rosicky Goal Gets Gunners Within Two

Stay connected with SB Nation

Might Arsenal be able to pull off the impossible? They're certainly giving themselves a chance. After falling behind 4-0 to AC Milan in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie, the Gunners were supposed to have no chance of advancing, but Laurent Koscielny scored early in the second leg and now Tomas Rosicky has scored to get within two goals on aggregate with more than an hour to play.

The play began with a good run down the right that got Milan retreating. The cross was poor, though, and it looked like that would be the end of the move because it was right at Thiago Silva, but Milan's outstanding centerback made a horrendous clearance. The ball went straight to Rosicky, who has 15 yards out and had no problem beating Christian Abibiati to give the fans at the Emirates hope. Maybe, just maybe, they can pull this off.
