Chelsea Vs. Barcelona, 2012 UEFA Champions League: Didier Drogba Looking To Break

Chelsea are the home side tonight, but Barcelona are still the best passing team in the world and they're going to play the same way no matter what. So, unsurprisingly, Chelsea are defending pretty deep, keeping their shape and inviting their opponents onto them early on. Barcelona aren't finding spaces and Chelsea's strategy looks like it might pay off eventually.

In just seven minutes of play, there have been a couple of occasions in which Barcelona has given the ball away and Chelsea has dangerously launched the ball towards Didier Drogba quickly. He was offside on one occasion and thwarted by Carles Puyol on the other, but it appears that Barcelona could be vulnerable to a counter attack if they don't make some kind of adjustment.

We'll have continuous pre-game updates and live game coverage in our Chelsea vs. Barcelona, UEFA Champions League Semifinals StoryStream. For more on the two teams, head over to Chelsea FC blog We Ain't Got No History and FC Barcelona blog Barca Blaugranes.
