Chelsea Vs. Barcelona, 2012 UEFA Champions League: Barca Creating, Can't Score

Stay connected with SB Nation

Barcelona are continuing to dominate Chelsea as the second half goes on, but the Chelsea defenders certainly aren't intimidated by their opponents, and Petr Cech looks like he's up for the game. The visitors are starting to create chances with even more frequency as the game approaches the 30 minute mark, but they haven't really come that close to scoring yet.

Andres Iniesta had a great highlight in the 25th minute when he absolutely skinned Gary Cahill, beating him badly on the endline, but the Chelsea defender made a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge to win the ball back. It was a borderline foul, but the referee waived play on. Cesc Fabregas got a shot on target that was saved two minutes later, and that was immediately followed by a Lionel Messi header into the stomach of Cech.

The Chelsea keeper is looking sharp so far, and it might take some serious quality to beat him.
