This tie is over. You don't lose 2-0 at home in the first round of a knockout tie in the UEFA Champions League and come back from it. That's exactly what a Steve-Mandanda-less Marseille did against Bayern Munich, and that means that for all intents and purposes they out of Europe.
It didn't have to be that way, of course - Marseille came out of the gates full of fight and looked like they had a chance of doing something against their highly-touted opposition, but as soon as a Philipp Lahm handball and an Elinton Andrade error handed Mario Gomez the opener, their heads went down and they resigned themselves to defeat. They didn't even play that badly (the visitors only had six shots in the game), but if they want to turn this tie around they'll have to beat Bayern by two goals at the Allianz Arena. Guess whether or not that's happening!
Basically, the only things that can go wrong for Bayern right now is if a key player gets suspended for the semifinal against Real Madrid. Each of Toni Kroos, Thomas Muller, Luiz Gustavo and Jerome Boateng are a booking away from a ban, and Bayern will need to be full strength if they want to upset the La Liga leaders in the next round. The fact that this is a major talking point probably tells you all you need to know about Marseille.
