Barcelona Vs. Real Madrid, 2012 El Clasico: 2nd Half Underway

Stay connected with SB Nation

We're up and running the second half at the Camp Nou, where Barcelona find themselves trailing against Real Madrid. The visitors went up 1-0 on a 17th minute goal from Sami Khedira, and they haven't really looked back. The hosts are looking off, and they'll have to put in a much better performance to overhaul their opponents here - it's a must-win game for them and they haven't played like it at all.

The first team with any sort of chance in the second half is Real Madrid, who manage to mess up a three on two counterattack in rather amusing fashion, getting their passing and runs all wrong and presenting the Barcelona defence with the ball. In response, the hosts give said ball to Lionel Messi and have him do his thing, a foray forward that's eventually curtailed by an important intervention from Mesut Ozil.
