Juventus Go Entire Serie A Season Unbeaten

Juventus cruised to a 3-1 home win against Atalanta in a match that would have been entirely meaningless but for Juventus' 22-15-0 record. The Old Lady were going for the first unbeaten season in Serie A history since AC Milan's 1991/92 run and they sealed it very early thanks to goals by Luca Marrone and then Alessandro del Piero in the 10th and 28th minutes. Although Atalanta got to within a goal of their hosts when Stephan Lichtsteiner scored a late own goal, there was still time for another Juve strike, this time from the spot after Marco Borriello was fouled in the box, Andrea Barzagli converting.

Meanwhile, AC Milan got a win of their own against Novara which mattered not at all, because they were finishing second no matter what. At least Pippo Inzaghi scored the decider in the 2-1 victory. And Fiorentina did nothing against Cagliari, which is exactly what everyone should have been expecting from that game.
