Nürnberg have signed Hiroshi Kiyotake from J League club Cerezo Osaka. The 22 year old will join the club this summer on a four your contract. through 2016.
Kiyotake made his debut in the J League in 2008 at the age of 19 for Oita Trinita where he spent his youth career. After a big season in 2009, he was transferred to Cerezo Osaka. After a great campaign in 2010, Cerezo Osaka qualified for the 2011 AFC Champions League. Kiyotake scored four goals in helping the club get to the quarterfinals.
"In Japan, the Bundesliga is seen as one of the biggest leagues in the world. Like a lot of other Japanese players already playing there, I am thrilled to have been given an opportunity in the Bundesliga and I hope to have an important role to play at 1. FC Nürnberg," Kiyotake said excited about the move. "I'm also looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere that the fans in Nürnberg create."
Before joining Nürnberg in August, Kiyotake will be representing Japan in London at the 2012 Olympic Games.
