Apparently things weren't going badly enough for Toronto FC so Miguel Aceval, Luis Silva and Nick Soolsma went out and got arrested in Houston on Monday night. The three were involved in an altercation at a night club and jailed for public intoxication, putting their status for Wednesday night's match against the Dynamo in doubt.
The Toronto trio were in Houston with the team ahead of Wednesday's match and decided to spend Monday night out. They went out to Club Escobar, but they apparently had a lot too much to drink and ended up involved in a fight outside the club, although the level of their involvement is unclear. After the fight, they refused to leave and got into a verbal altercation with the police, who then arrested them and jailed them overnight for public intoxication.
Whether they will be charged, what that could mean and how this incident affects the trio's status for TFC is still up in the air, but getting arrested and jailed overnight does not have good consequences so we can assume that it will not go well for Aceval, Silva and Soolsma. This is the last thing that a team that is languishing at the bottom of the league and just fired its manager wants, but the club are clearly subject to Murphy's Law this season.
