Sweden are done, kaput, out, whatever other phrase you want to use to say that they are eliminated from Euro 2012. That's not the case for France, who looked fantastic against Ukraine and are getting a healthier Yann M'Vila that should only strengthen their spine, complimenting their always tremendous flank play. All they need is a win or draw to guarantee advancement to the quarterfinals, while a loss will likely put them through anyways.
LInes: Sweden, +1 (-125). France, -1 (+105).
Odds: Sweden, +475. France, -175. Draw, +290.
Over/Under: Over 2.5, -110. Under 2.5, -110.
It's tough to put any money on a game in which one team has nothing to play for. There is nothing Sweden can do to advance so will they show up? Will they pack it in? Will they try out some younger players or will they try to save face and get at least a point? All good questions, and none of which can be competently answered. If you have to bet, take the Frence at +105, but you're living dangerously.
It's not any better having to bet on the over/under, but go with the over because it's more fun to root for goals. That's about it. This sucks.
We'll have live coverage of both of Tuesday's games simultaneously in our Euro 2012, Group D Finale StoryStream. For more on Euro 2012 and the entire world of football, follow @SBNationSoccer on twitter.
