Chelsea have confirmed football's worst kept secret, that Eden Hazard is joining the club. The Lille winger/playmaker is Chelsea's second signing of the summer transfer window, joining Marko Marin, who arrived from Werder Bremen. Hazard announced last week on twitter that he was signing for the 'Champions League winners', and the club made the transfer official on Monday. The transfer fee and Hazard's wages have not been released, but it's expected that Chelsea paid more than £30n for Hazard and that he will make approximately £100k per week.

Said Chelsea, about the transfer:

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce we have agreed terms with Lille for the transfer of Eden Hazard.

The 21-year-old Belgian international has agreed personal terms with the club and today passed a medical examination. He will join the club in July when the players return for pre-season training.

Hazard scored 50 goals and tallied 38 assists in all competitions in his 192 games with Lille. He was named the Ligue 1 young player of the year in both the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons and he was named the Ligue 1 player of the year in each of the last two consecutive seasons.

A versatile attacking player, Hazard can play on the right or left wing, or as a central attacking midfielder. He's spent most of his career as a left forward in an attacking 4-3-3 formation.
