The third round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying gets underway on Friday with Cuba vs. Canada. Honduras and Panama play the most interesting match of the round.

CONCACAF's "six best" teams will finally be involved in World Cup qualifying starting on Friday, when the third round of qualifying gets underway. The United States, Mexico and Honduras were the top seeds that sat out the second round. Costa Rica and Jamaica were unsurprising second seeds ... and then there's Cuba. Yep, Cuba got a bye to this round. No one knows how this happened.

Because CONCACAF is all that is just and right with the world, Cuba got set up with the best teams from Pot 3. Have fun, guys! Cuba and Canada play the first game of the day, at 2 p.m. ET.

The United States are in action against Antigua and Barbuda, whose national team is decent by island nation standards because half their team plays for Antigua Barracuda FC in USL Pro. The USMNT should still steamroll them. In what will likely be an even bigger steamrolling, Mexico play Guyana. In matches that might actually have some bearing on who gets to the hexagonal, Costa Rica plays El Salvador, Honduras plays Panama and Jamaica plays Guatemala.

Schedule (all times ET)

Cuba vs. Canada - 2 p.m.
United States vs. Antigua and Barbuda - 7 p.m.
Mexico vs. Guyana - 8 p.m.
Jamaica vs. Guatemala - 9:30 p.m.
Honduras vs. Panama - 9:30 p.m.
Costa Rica vs. El Salvador - 10 p.m.
