Remember when Lionel Messi wasn't good for Argentina? He was the greatest player in the world, but only for Barcelona when he was surrounded by great talent, the pressure wasn't all on him and RABBLE RABLLE RABBLE.
It was never the case that Messi wasn't good for Argentina, but it became a popular opinion for stupid people. Now he's out to prove even to the stupid people that he's plenty good for Argentina. Like really, really good.
In a friendly against Brazil on Saturday, Messi netted a hat trick to lead his country to a 4-3 win over their rivals. Not too shabby.
For those of you saying, "It's only a friendly," consider that this hat trick comes a week after he pulled the strings for Argentina in their 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over Ecuador. See, competitive match.
Conclusion: Messi plays good. Messi plays good for Argentina. Messi is really, really good.
