L’Equip are reporting that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed to move to PSG, but the move away from AC Milan is contingent on his wages.
So Paris Saint-Germain didn't manage to snap up Thiago Silva from AC Milan, despite offering close to €50m for the defender. But now the big spenders are back with a sweeter offer: we'll take Zlatan Ibrahimovic off your hands, for the cool price of €65m for both the Swede and the Brazilian.
At first, the economics of this don't make sense: pay nearly €50m for Thiago Silva, but just €15m more gets you Zlatan? Then you realise that Ibra is on €12m per year with the rossoneri -- getting him off the books will free up a lot of cash to splurge on another great centre forward (although if you believe the rumours that that striker might be Andy Carroll, I suggest you may wish to adjust your dosage).
L’Equip is reporting that Ibra has agreed 'in principle' to the deal with PSG, but it'll all come down to what they're willing to offer in wages. Remember, PSG -- an Ibra means a title. Think about it.
