Kwadwo Asamoah and Mauricio Isla have officially joined Juventus from Udinese, sealing what might be the least confusing double signing in history. How easy is this -- one day take off your black and white stripes in Udin, the next day don them in Turin. The city names are even similar!
Anyway. The ins and outs of Serie A transfers are a bit complex, so here's the down and dirty: both players have signed for three years, and both are on co-ownership agreements. Isla was a bit more costly, at €9.4m, while Asamoah was just €9m. Good deals, particularly since the Old Lady only sent Cristian Pasquato the other way. Who? We're not sure either, but you can bet Francesco Guidolin will have clubs drooling over him in about two years.
A good bit of business for Juventus, but you gotta wonder about Udinese and their Champions League position. Do they care, or will they just focus on the league again?
