Is it Chelsea Legends Night at the MLS All-Star Game? It sure feels like it after Frank Lampard joined John Terry on the scoresheet to give the Blues a 2-1 lead on the MLS All-Stars in the 58th minute.
Once again, the makeshift nature of the MLS All-Stars showed in their defending. Right after Dan Kennedy made a fine save to keep the match level, the MLS defenders did not look sure if Kennedy would come off his line to collect a Ramires cross and Kennedy hesitated, unsure if his defenders would clear it. Eventually, Kennedy came off his line, but too late and whiffed, while the defenders watched him. That left Lampard wide open at the back post to knock the ball into the open goal and put the UEFA Champions League winners up in this high-profile exhibition.
