Germany takes on Argentina in a high-profile World Cup qualifiers warm-up.

Argentina have traveled to Germany to play a friendly mostly so their FA can cash a fat check, but it's also a nice test for Alejandro Sabella's side. They're already well into World Cup qualifying, and their performances have been inconsistent with some flashes of brilliance. Germany begins their road to Brazil 2014 a month from now, and they won't face anyone as good as Argentina on the way to the World Cup.

Germany have what is mostly a first team, minus some stars from Bayern Munich. Injuries have kept Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Gomez away. Lukas Podolski is out too, but that might have been a case of Arsene Wenger begging Joachim Löw not to take him. Or he could have been dropped because he had a bad Euros. Who knows! Argentina have a full first team, but because Sabella is crazy, that first team features none of Javier Pastore, Ever Banega or Nico Gaitan.

The Germans were also nice enough to put this friendly in the city with the ginormous airport that you can get to from anywhere in the world. for maximum convenience!
