Liverpool's official TV station claims there will be no more signings from the Anfield club, killing the Clint Dempsey transfer.

Liverpool's move for Clint Dempsey appears to be at an end as the club's official TV station stated that it would be "extremely unlikely" that there would be any more signings from the Anfield club.

It had been suggested the Reds had a bid accepted for the Fulham forward earlier on in the day, but it seems that no progress has been made and the deal has now been scrapped.

Dempsey may now stay with Fulham, although there are suggestions that other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, are interested in the USA international, and could still make a move in the two hours of the window remaining.

Dempsey's potential transfer has been one of the longest-running sagas of the window, with the player refusing to sign a new contract with Fulham earlier in the window. He was voted Fulham's player of the year last season, after scoring 22 goals in all competitions - the last of which made him the first American ever to score 50 goals in the Premier League.
