Two of the biggest pre-tournament favorites in men's soccer at the London 2012 Olympics, Uruguay and Spain, have stunningly been dumped out of the competition in the group stage. The quarterfinals get underway on Saturday, with Brazil now big favorites to win gold and host nation Great Britain favorites to win a medal.
Japan has finally broken through to the quarterfinals after years of disappointing performances in the Olympics. They take on Egypt in the early game. The most interesting game of the day comes when small, technical Mexico take on giant, athletic Senegal in a clash of styles.
Brazil face surprising underdogs Honduras at noon and should end their dream run. Great Britain are favorites in the late game against South Korea, but they should have some trouble getting through. Even though they don't have the top-end talent that the Brits do, South Korea is a well-organized team made up of very accomplished professionals.
