Bafana Bafana open the Africa Cup of Nations with a tough test, against talented upstarts Cape Verde.
South Africa will have a passionate home crowd behind them when they take the pitch for their first Africa Cup of Nations since 2008, but don't expect their opposition to roll over. Cape Verde have made outstanding strides in their development over recent years, and have the talent to challenge Bafana Bafana. Ryan Mendes, the Cape Verde star who plays his club football at Lille, could be the tournament's breakout star.
Angola looks to be the least likely side to advance out of Group A, so three points are a must for Morocco in the late match. This Morocco side is one of the strongest they've ever had, though it's not clear who's going to score their goals. They have some decent forward talent in their ranks, but no one with the proven quality of their defense and attacking midfielders.
Schedule
