Bayern Munich never broke a sweat, and they easily beat Greuther Fürth to remain at the top of the table.
Bayern Munich kept their lead atop the Bundesliga intact with a 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena against Greuther Fürth.
Jupp Heynckes stuck with Mario Mandzukic at the top of his formation instead of going back to Mario Gomez, and the Croatian rewarded his faith. Thomas Müller crossed the ball into Mandzukic, and the forward put his shot in the back of the net to make it 1-0 after only 26 minutes.
The leaders enjoyed a 77% possession advantage in the contest and never really got out of first gear. Mandzukic grabbed a second goal in the 61st to double Bayern's lead. He headed in a free kick from Toni Kroos to make it 2-0 and put the match out of reach of Fürth.
Bayern remain nine points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table, while Fürth are sitting on only nine points at the bottom of the table.
