Ateltico Madrid's star striker Radamel Falcao left his team's victory over Levante with an injury to his left hamstring. He'll undergo test tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury.
Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao limped off during his team's 2-0 win over Levante, putting a bit of a damper on the day. Falcao suffered the injury in the 57th minute, appearing to favor his left hamstring as he was substituted out of the match.
According to reports Falcao felt something in his hamstring as he was running and there are fears it could be a tear in the muscle. The Colombian striker will undergo test on Monday as Atletico attempts to determine the extent of the injury.
It's a potential double blow for Atleti as they could be facing several weeks without their star striker. Falcao is Atleti's leading scoring in the league by a huge margin with 18 goals. The next closest on the scoring list are Raúl García and Arda Turan with four goals each. Needless to say, it's going to take a team effort to make up for losing Falcao's goal production.
Plus, with rumors swirling about Falcao potentially being sold in this transfer window, any injury could delay those chances until the summer.
