Even with the rumored off the field turmoil and the injuries, Real Madrid should have more than enough quality to see off a struggling Getafe side
So this big question surrounding this match is what will Real Madrid decide to do with their league schedule. They're certainly not going to stop competing but will their full attention be on these matches...and will that matter in some games, like this one.
Mourinho claims to have conceded the league but that was most likely more about trying to keep Barcelona teetering (which didn't really work if you watched their match against Malaga) than anything else. That said Madrid's focus has to be on the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. Considering the gap at the top none but their most ardent fans would probably be fine with that mindset.
Mourinho will have Sergio Ramos and Kaka back from suspension while Getafe are missing their manager, who is finishing his two-match touchline ban. The Azulones also have a ton of injuries so their already slim hopes don't get any help there.
Real Madrid injuries and suspensions
Out: Iker Casillas (hand), Pepe (ankle). In doubt: Xabi Alonso (neck)
Getafe injuries and suspensions
Out: Mané (muscle tear), Angel Lafita (muscle), Pedro Leon (knee) In Doubt: None.
Getafe are missing several players. For Madrid, Pepe is still not back from an ankle injury while Iker Casillas begins his extended absence with a broken hand.
Match Date/Time: 1 p.m. local, 6 a.m. ET
Venue: Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid, Spain
TV: beIN Sport (U.S.), Sky Sports 2 (U.K.)
