Any points against Manchester City should be a bonus for Queens Park Rangers, but they're not exactly in a position to write off games.
It's getting late enough in the season that Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers won't have too many opportunities to dig themselves out of holes. Every point matters for both teams, as City attempt to chase down Manchester United and QPR try to claw their way out of the drop zone.
City advanced in the FA Cup over the weekend, while QPR were thoroughly embarrassed. They rested a number of first team players, but still fielded a team that was, at worst, Championship quality. That team proceeded to get demolished by MK Dons. Ouch.
Queens Park Rangers injuries and suspensions
Out: Shawn Wright-Phillips (ankle), Andy Johnson (knee), Jose Bosingwa (back). In doubt: Junior Hoilett (hamstring).
Manchester City injuries and suspensions
Out: Vincent Kompany (calf), Maicon (knee), Micah Richards (knee). In doubt: Matija Nastasić (knee).
Kompany injured his calf on the weekend and joins a long list of injured City defenders. Their depth will seriously come into play in the coming weeks. Mario Balotelli has recovered from a virus, but don't be surprised if he's left out of the 18-man squad. He's been heavily linked to a transfer to AC Milan.
