Fernando Llorente is discussing a summer move with Juventus, Athletic Bilbao have confirmed.

Athletic Bilbao have confirmed that Juventus are in talks to sign Fernando Llorente in the summer from the Basque club.

Llorente's contract expires in the summer, and when less than 6 months remain on a deal, players have the right to begin talking to other clubs to discuss a move. Juventus have opened discussions with the player and will be hoping to arrange a move to take place at the end of the season.

The La Liga club confirmed that Llorente was discussing a transfer to Juventus on a short statement on their official club website.

Llorente is one of the most exciting free transfers available for quite some time, with the player still in his prime and interesting a host of Europe's top clubs, but the Bianconeri appear to be in the lead to sign him at the moment. Of course, the news that negotiations have begun could spur some other clubs for whom the striker is rumoured to be a target into action.
