US PRESSWIRE

Former LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham is reportedly heading to Paris to complete a move to ultra-rich Champions League participants Paris Saint-Germain.

David Beckham is still a pretty good footballer, considering his age. He was also not the best player on his Major League Soccer team last season. He was probably the fifth best team on his Major League Soccer team. And he's headed to France, to sign for Champions League knockout stage participants Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are owned by the Qatar Investment Authority and basically have infinity money. It seems highly unlikely that Beckham is taking a serious pay cut to join them. Multiple independent British outlets/journalists are running with this story, so it appears to be quite real and not a hilarious hoax.

Seriously, the 37-year-old David Beckham, who was not anywhere near the best player on his MLS team last season, is signing for a Ligue 1 and Champions League team. He's going to play with Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Everything ever is amazing.
