England vs. Poland, Lineups: Chris Smalling and Michael Carrick in

Shaun Botterill

Roy Hodgson adds Manchester United duo Michael Carrick and Chris Smalling to his team to take on Poland as England face a must-win game at Wembley.

Roy Hodgson has opted to make two changes in his team from England's previous victory against Montenegro, with Manchester United pair Chris Smalling and MIchael Carrick coming into the team.

Kyle Walker picked up a suspension in the game against Montenegro, while Frank Lampard is dropped for Michael Carrick in the centre of the field as Roy Hodgson looks for more stability in a game he knows his side must win to be sure of their place in the 2014 World Cup.

Elsewhere, Andros Townsend keeps his position on the right wing, while Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck both keep their places.

England starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Joe Hart; Chris Smalling, Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines; Michael Carrick, Steven Gerrard; Andros Townsend, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck; Daniel Sturridge.

Poland starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Wojciech Szczesny; Piotr Celeban, Artur Jedrzejczyk, Kamil Glik, Grzegorz Wojtkowiak; Grzegorz Krychowiak, Mariusz Lewandowski; Jakub Blaszczykowski, Adrian Mierzejewski, Waldemar Sobota; Robert Lewandowski
