Manchester United vs. Arsenal: Preview and TV schedule

David Ramos

League leaders Arsenal face a tough test away at Old Trafford on Sunday, as Manchester United look to record their third straight league win.

Arsenal have recorded three straight league wins, with their 2-0 victory at home to Liverpool last weekend seeing them extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points. Having had their confidence boosted yet further by an excellent Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund in midweek, they're now serious title challengers.

Manchester United have been rather less convincing in David Moyes' first season at Old Trafford, though have now recorded two league wins on the bounce. They've moved to within just three points of Chelsea and Liverpool in second place, and a win over the league leaders would do wonders to lift their spirits.

Howevever, Moyes has a string of injury problems to contend with. Rafael, Jonny Evans, Darren Fletcher and Danny Welbeck are all definitely unavailable, while Tom Cleverley and Michael Carrick are in doubt. For Arsenal, Yaya Sanogo, Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby are definitely unavailable, with Mathieu Flamini and Theo Walcott facing late fitness tests.

Manchester United injuries and suspensions

Out: Rafael (ankle), Jonny Evans (back), Darren Fletcher (illness), Danny Welbeck (knee). In doubt: Tom Cleverley (double vision), Michael Carrick (achilles).

Arsenal injuries and suspensions
