Fulham vs. Manchester United: Preview and TV schedule

Michael Regan

Fulham have had a pretty poor start to the Premier League season, though Manchester United's shaky form gives them hope of a result on Saturday.

Fulham have arguably been the Premier League's most underperforming side for the last few seasons now, and if this campaign is anything to go by, they're going to stay that way. Despite boasting an excellent attack they've only picked up 10 points from their opening nine matches, and are currently down in 14th place.

However, Manchester United's almost-as-patchy form gives Martin Jol's side reason for optimism ahead of their meeting at Craven Cottage on Saturday. United may have picked up seven points from their last nine in the Premier League, though so unconvincing have their performances been, a convincing victory would be a novel delight for the Red Devils.

Fulham will be without the injured Hugo Rodallega and Matthew Briggs, while Brede Hangeland needs to overcome a nerve problem if he's to play. For United, Danny Welbeck and Darren Fletcher are the only early certain absentees.
