Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers: Lineups

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Spor

The teams are just about as expected, though certainly not as ambitious as possible for the Sounders and Timbers.

DeAndre Yedlin hasn't healed enough from the injury he picked up midweek to play, but the Seattle Sounders haven't moved Brad Evans to right back. Instead, veteran Zach Scott will start in Yedlin's place, while Evans stays in midfield. Marcus Hahnemann has also been forced into the Sounders' lineup, replacing the suspended Michael Gspurning.

The Portland Timbers have picked an experienced lineup without any real surprises. Rodney Wallace's presence on the wing over Khalif Alhassan suggests that Caleb Porter cares a bit more about defending from the front than he does in most games, but with Scott starting over Yedlin, that shouldn't matter too much.

Seattle Sounders lineup: Hahnemann, Gonzalez, Hurtado, Traore, Scott, Alonso, Evans, Moffat, Dempsey, Neagle, Johnson

Portland Timbers lineup: Ricketts, Jewsbury, Danso, Kah, Harrington, Chara, W. Johnson, Nagbe, Valeri, Wallace, R. Johnson

Kickoff is at 10 p.m. ET. You can catch the game on NBC Sports Network and MLS Live.
