Cardiff City vs. Arsenal: Preview and TV schedule

Clive Rose

Arsenal's red-hot streak should continue away at newly-promoted Cardiff on Saturday.

Arsenal bounced back from defeat to Manchester United with a solid 2-0 win over high-flying Southampton last weekend, and are expected to continue their impressive form against newly-promoted Cardiff City on Saturday. They now have a four-point lead at the top of the table, and things are looking very healthy indeed for the Gunners.

Cardiff are currently down in 15th place, having only won three of their opening 12 games. However, they will still be high on confidence after snatching a deserved 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United last weekend, so Arsenal shouldn't expect too easy an afternoon.

The hosts are without any early injury or suspension concerns, while Arsène Wenger, as per usual, has a handful of unavailable players. Winger Ryo Miyaichi has joined the injury list with a hamstring problem, while illness to left-back Kieran Gibbs could see Nacho Monreal make the starting 11 for the first time this Premier League season.
