Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool: Preview and TV schedule

Paul Gilham

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool meet on Sunday afternoon, with both sides looking to record their third Premier League win on the bounce.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have both won their last couple of league games after slightly patchy runs of form, and are now separated by just three points in the Premier League table. Liverpool will look to maintain second place and slash Arsenal's advantage at the top of the table with a win, while Spurs hope to move level on points with their visitors.

André Villas-Boas' hosts need to improve on their form at White Hart Lane this season to get a result. Spurs have won only three times in their opening seven games in front of their own fans, and have been much better on the road this season. Then again, Liverpool are winless in their last four away from Anfield, so this game is pretty hard to predict form-wise.

Spurs will certainly be without Jan Vertonghen though injury, while they have a string of early doubts including Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Vlad Chiricheș. For Liverpool, the long-term injured pairing of José Enrique and Sebastián Coates are both still unavailable, and are joined on the sidelines by Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge -- both significant absentees.

Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions

Out: Jan Vertonghen (ankle). In doubt: Christian Eriksen (ankle), Danny Rose (foot), Vlad Chiricheș (knee), Younes Kaboul (quad), Emmanuel Adebayor (knee).

Liverpool injuries and suspensions
