Liverpool may be only a couple of points off the top of the Premier League, but it's Cardiff City who are the side hogging the headlines heading into their meeting early on Saturday. With owner Vincent Tan and manager Malky Mackay engaged in a bizarre standoff over the latter's seemingly-imminent departure, it remains to be seen whether he'll last until this game.
Despite evidently having lost the faith of Tan, Mackay still certainly has the support of the fans. Cardiff are currently up in 15th place in their debut Premier League season, and could cause Liverpool some problems at Anfield. However, with the hosts having picked up five wins on the trot in front of their own fans, they still head in as comfortable favourites.
They'll still be without Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard, as well as defensive duo Sebastián Coates and José Enrique. Cardiff's only early injury concern is Craig Bellamy, who will need to recover from a knee problem to be involved.
