We're not saying that Arsenal don't have a chance to win on Tuesday, we're just saying that there's no actual reason to believe that they will.
Okay, so I'm sticking my neck out on this one. If Arsenal dominate Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, this is going to get passed around by Arsenal fans, I'm going to get hate mail, and I'm going to deserve it. But, I think this is necessary to point out to everyone who is trying to make real actual arguments that Arsenal is as good as Bayern Munich, and in with an excellent chance of progressing to the quarterfinal of the Champions League.
That's not to say Arsenal are a bad team. They're just ... you know, not Bayern Munich. To say Arsenal are in the same level as Bayern is pretty disrespectful to the Bavarians, who have, by our count, 14 players who would slot into the Arsenal lineup instantly when all players are healthy. Borderline world class midfielder Jack Wilshere wouldn't have a prayer of getting into the side he's about to face. It stinks.
Enjoy the game, and if Wilshere shows up Bastian Schweinsteiger, feel free to come back and laugh in my face.
