Inter vs. AC Milan: Lineups for Derby della Madonnina

Dino Panato

There's less than an hour to go until the Milan Derby kicks off, with Internazionale hosting AC Milan. Who gets the start?

Third place Milan "visit" fifth place Inter on Sunday evening for the second Derby della Madonnina of the season. The reverse fixture was a drab 0-1 in favor of the nerazzurri, with Walter Samuel providing the only goal, in the 3rd minute.

But Samuel will miss this match, as will Luca Castellazzi, Diego Milito, Gaby Mudingayi, Joel Obi, and Matias Silvestre, all through injury. Inter will also miss Alvaro Pereira through suspension.

The rossoneri come into this match brimming with confidence after beating the mighty Barcelona midweek. They've also lost just one of their last thirteen league matches, which explains how they've managed to climb up to third place. Milan are without Daniele Bonera, Nigel de Jong, Mathieu Flamini and Robinho, all missing due to injury.

Inter Milan Starting XI (4-3-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Javier Zanetti, Andrea Ranocchia, Juan Jesus, Yuto Nagatomo; Walter Gargano, Esteban Cambiasso, Ricardo Alvarez, Fredy Guarin; Rodrigo Palacio, Antonio Cassano

AC Milan Starting XI (4-3-3): Christian Abbiati; Ignazio Abate, Cristian Zapata, Philippe Mexes, Mattia De Sciglio; Sulley Muntari, Riccardo Montolivo, Antonio Nocerino; Kevin-Prince Boateng, Mario Balotelli, Stephan El Shaarawy
