For the hosts, Tobias Hysen leads the line in Johan Elmander's stead, partnering Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The rest of the team is not too unusual, with Fulham youngster Alexander Kacaniklic keeping his place in the team on the left wing. Sebastian Larsson continues on the right, with Anders Svensson and Kim Kallstrom in central midfield.

Argentina opt for Federico Fernandez to partner Ezequiel Garay in defence, but the most unusual selection is the choice of Hugo Campagnaro at left-back. Angel Di Maria, Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero make up the attacking trident behind Gonzalo Higuain.
