The Netherlands have named a highly experimental lineup as they take on Italy.
A lot of young players have been chosen in the Dutch lineup, with Kevin Strootman, Jordy Clasie and Adam Maher making up a youthful midfield, while Ola John and Jeremain Lens play either side of one of the few veterans, Robin van Persie, in the front three.
Italy, meanwhile, opt for Antonio Candreva ahead of Alessandro Diamanta on the left of a narrow front three. Stephan El Shaarawy and Mario Balotelli are the other two in their attacking trident. Ignazio Abate is chosen at left-back, while Riccardo Montolivo plays alongside Daniele De Rossi and Andrea Pirlo in midfield.
Netherlands (4-3-3): Tim Krul; Daryl Janmaat, Stefan De Vrij, Bruno Martins Indi, Daley Blind; Kevin Strootman, Jordy Clasie, Adam Maher; Ola John, Robin Van Persie, Jeremain Lens
Italy (4-3-3): Gianluigi Buffon; Ignazio Abate, Davide Astori, Andrea Barzagli, Davide Santon; Daniele De Rossi, Andrea Pirlo, Riccardo Montolivo; Antonio Candreva, Mario Balotelli, Stephan El Shaarawy
