There was only one surprise in Alejandro Sabella's roster for Argentina's upcoming World Cup qualifiers as Monterrey's Jose-Maria Basanta gets his first chance at a cap.

Alejandro Sabella's latest Argentina roster features a lot of familiar faces and one new guy in the form of Monterrey defender Jose-Maria Basanta is a surprise inclusion among the usual cast of stars.

Basanta will get a chance to earn his first cap for the Albiceleste after Newcastle defender Fabricio Coloccini was ruled out until May with a back injury.

All the usual suspects made the squad including Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Aguero and Ezequiel Lavezzi. Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria was also included but will serve a suspension in the first match against Venezuela. Fernando Gago is out with a injury and will be replaced by Valencia's Ever Banega.
