Santiago Cazorla is a surprise starter for Spain as they take on Finland.
The Arsenal midfielder has been out of form lately but starts in midfield nonetheless, partnering Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta in the absence of Xavi. David Villa starts up front, flanked by Cesc Fabregas and David Silva, while the defence is largely as expected.
Victor Valdes also continues in goal despite Barcelona's recent defensive problems, as Vicente del Bosque carries on with his usual international plans despite considerations over club form, with Pepe Reina and David de Gea relegated to a place on the substitutes' bench.
Spain starting lineup (4-3-3): Victor Valdés; Alvaro Arbeloa, Gerard Piqué, Sergio Ramos, Jordi Alba; Sergio Busquets, Santiago Cazorla, Andres Iniesta; David Silva, David Villa, Cesc Fábregas.
Finland starting lineup (4-5-1): Niki Mäenpää, Niklas Moisander, Kari Arkivuo, Joona Toivio, Jukka Raitala, Roman Eremenko, Perparim Hetemaj, Teemu Pukki, Teemu Tainio, Alexander Ring, Kasper Hämäläinen.
