With Manchester City suffering a defeat against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on the weekend, Manchester United only need three points to wrap up the title. Their opponents Aston Villa are still in some bother near the bottom, currently sitting a place and three points outside the relegation zone. If they lose here, Wigan can overhaul the three point deficit by winning their game in hand.
United have been in some patchy form of late, only picking up a point in a trip to West Ham last Wednesday. Still, they've only been beaten twice at home this season, and should be able to bounce back from the disappointment of losing 2-1 in the Manchester derby the last time they played at Old Trafford. Villa haven't won away against United since 2009, though they have now strung together two consecutive confidence-boosting wins on the road.
Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes and Ashley Young are United's certain injury absentees, with Villa having a slightly longer list. Gary Gardner, Chris Herd, Marc Albrighton and Richard Dunne are all sidelined, though Gabriel Agbonlahor is available again after he missed Villa's draw with Fulham last week. He scored the only goal of the match the last time Villa won at Old Trafford.
