Both Reading and Queens Park Rangers are ten points adrift of Aston Villa and safety at the start of the weekend, and defeat for either side here would ensure their relegation. But, should Villa beat Sunderland on Monday night, both will be sent packing to the Championship regardless of Sunday's result.
Reading have picked up only one point from their last nine games, while QPR have managed only one point from their last five. Unsurprisingly the reverse fixture ended in a draw, with these sides inseparably poor throughout the season.
For the Royals, goalkeeper Adam Federici could return from injury, while Hope Akpan, Jimmy Kébé and Hal-Robson Kanu have all recently been unavailable, and are in doubt too. Jason Roberts is definitely out.
Meanwhile, QPR have Bobby Zamora suspended again for booting Wigan's Jordi Gómez in the head, and Andros Townsend and Adel Taarabt are in doubt after they picked up injuries in last weekend's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Stoke City. Shaun Wright-Phillips and Luke Young may be sidelined too.
