Tottenham vs. Everton, 2013 Premier League: Preview and TV Schedule

Stu Forster

Tottenham will have to get past Everton without Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon in order to maintain their four point lead over Arsenal, while the Toffees are also looking to keep their top four hopes alive.

Tottenham Hotspur will bid to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive against fellow top four-chasers Everton, but will have to do so without several key players.

Spurs are suffering from a raft of injuries endured in midweek, with Gareth Bale, Jermain Defoe and Aaron Lennon all unavailable to severely weaken their forward line. Everton are also without some key players, notably Marouane Fellaini, but will still be very tough opponents to negotiate.

Arsenal's victory yesterday leaves the Gunners just a point behind Tottenham, with Chelsea dropping into fifth, but with the Blues given a game at home against relegation battlers Sunderland, Spurs will not be able to take anything for granted. Everton will certainly be going all out, as they are five points behind Arsenal and have far less margin for error, although this clash represents a game in hand on the Gunners for both teams.

With both sides desperate for victory and fielding makeshift lineups, anything could happen - it promises to be a hugely entertaining game as well as a vitally important one.
