Reading vs. Manchester City: Preview and TV schedule

Julian Finney

With Reading already relegated and Manchester City almost certainly going to seal second place, there's not much at stake at the Madejski.

Manchester City only need to pick up a point against Reading to secure second place, and will take to the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night on the back of an FA Cup final defeat to Wigan. It will be the first game in charge for interim manager Brian Kidd, who will take charge for the final two games of the season after the sacking of Roberto Mancini.

Reading managed to win 4-2 against Fulham in their last match, though Nigel Adkins' side are already relegated. Now, they have only pride to play for. They almost caused an upset when these sides met in Manchester earlier in the season, though a 93rd minute Gareth Barry goal saw City squeeze through.

The hosts could be without Adam Federici and Hope Akpan who've been suffering with injury problems of late, though Jimmy Kébé and Jason Roberts are definitely out through injury. City's Scott Sinclair has probably played his last game of the season after a blood clot in his shoulder, while Pablo Zabaleta's sending off in the defeat to Wigan means he's suspended.
