Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid: The post denies Los Merengues yet again, Mourinho sent off

Real Madrid might be starting to think that the fates are against them after yet another goal was denied by the post. There are 15 minutes left in regular time and the game remains tied at 1-1.

After the close calls from Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Özil the momentum was once against appeared to be firmly in Real Madrid's favor. Instead of keeping the pressure, Madrid allowed Atletico to settle and helped their cause by committing several fouls, including one that earned Sami Khedira a yellow card for denying a breakaway chance.

Madrid were denied yet again by the post in the 69th minute after Karim Benzema was fouled just on the edge of the Atletico area, giving Ronaldo a chance to work his magic.

Knowing the wall would likely jump to deal with one of Ronaldo's patented curling free kicks, he snuck a low rolling ball underneath the wall that completely caught Atleti off guard. Once again though the post made the save and Michael Essien failed to get on the rebound as Los Colchoneros dodged another bullet.

Madrid's frustration began to show as the match reached the 75th minute as Özil was booked for slapping the ball in the at the linesman after he disagreed with a decision.

Jose Mourinho was the next to get in trouble, saying something that the referee didn't agree with and getting himself banished from the touchline in the 76th minute.
