Spain face Italy, Uruguay take on Brazil in semis

European and South American teams have been kept apart as Spain take on Italy while Brazil face Uruguay in the Confederations Cup semi-finals.

Pour one out for Tahiti

Here are all eight of Uruguay's goals from Sunday. Yes, eight. You'll be missed, Tahiti.

Spain win group by beating Nigeria

Nigeria are headed home and Spain are headed for a date with Italy after La Roja's win.

Andres Scotti...sit down

First, Andres Scotti had a penalty saved by Tahiti goalkeeper Gilbert Meriel.

Then, he committed a cynical foul on midfielder Steevy Chong Hu, picking up his second yellow card and a sending off.

Tahiti are going out of the Confederations Cup without any points, but at least got to embarrass one top-notch professional footballer.

Nigeria vs. Spain: Lineups

Nigeria pick a very offensive lineup to take on Spain, who start with Roberto Soldado and Pedro in the attack.

Poor Tahiti

Expect Uruguay to beat Tahiti by enough goals that the result of Spain-Nigeria is irrelevant.

Almost no chance for Nigeria

Nigeria is in need of a serious miracle on Saturday if they want to advance in the Confederations Cup, while Spain simply have to avoid losing by four goals or more.
