Toronto FC vs. Seattle Sounders lineups: Dempsey starts on bench

If Clint Dempsey does make his Seattle Sounders debut today, he will do so from the bench. The team's new signing has been battling an illness so he will not start for the Sounders against Toronto FC, but he has been named to the bench.

The Sounders are using the same starting lineup that they went with a week ago, a rarely repeat XI for Sigi Schmid. Toronto FC is also using the same starting XI as they did a wee ago, matching 4-4-2's with the Sounders at BMO Field.

Toronto FC: Joe Bendik; Richard Eckersley, Steven Caldwell, Doneil Henry, Ashtone Morgan; Reggie Lambe, Matias Laba, Jonathan Osorio, Bobby Convey; Andrew Wiedeman, Jeremy Brockie.

Seattle Sounders: Marcus Hahnemann; DeAndre Yedlin, Patrick Ianni, Djimi Traore, Leo Gonzalez; Mauro Rosales, Osvaldo Alonso, Brad Evans, Lamar Neagle; Obafemi Martins, Eddie Johnson.
