Jurgen Klinsmann has called in a mostly European based roster for Wednesday's US Men's National Team friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because of the travel involved several regular MLS-based starters have been left home including Clint Dempsey, Omar Gonzalez and Graham Zusi.
Brad Evans and Eddie Johnson are the only two MLS players on the roster, while Liga MX based players Edgar Castillo and Joe Corona will make the long trip as well.
While there are plenty of regular faces like Tim Howard, Jermaine Jones and Michael Bradley still on the roster, Klinsmann is also handing opportunities to several young players. Cody Cropper, John Anthony Brooks and Bobby Wood are new names on the roster and while they might not play, it's good to see some fresh faces for the future.
Recent convert Aron Johannsson is on the team as well and we may get a chance to see the United States' newest player after FIFA approved his one-time switch from Iceland yesterday.
Bosnia and Herzegovina should give the USA a stern test with the likes of Asmir Begovic Miralem Pjanic, Senad Lulic and Edin Dzeko all on the roster and expected to start.
