Tottenham Hotspur vs. Swansea City: Preview and TV schedule

Jamie McDonald

Spurs look to keep pace at the top of the league as they host fellow Europa League participant Swansea to White Hart Lane.

Both teams enter this match coming off massive first leg wins in their respective Europa League ties during the midweek. Spurs defeated Dinamo Tbilisi 5-0 with the Swans thumped Petrolul Ploiesti 5-1. Now it's back to the Premier League grind as the two teams meet at White Hart Lane.

Andre Villas-Boas is not expected to have Gareth Bale available as his glacial-like transfer to Real Madrid inches closer to completion. He will have defender Jan Vertonghen and winger Aaron Lennon back from injuries that kept them out of their mid-week match.

Jonathan de Guzmán has been cleared after recovering from a concussion and could get a start in the midfield. With a busy schedule at the moment, Jordi Amat and Jose Canas could get starts as well as Michael Laudrup tries to keep his team fresh.

Tottenham injuries and suspensions

Out: Lewis Holtby (knee), Emmanuel Adebayor (fitness).

Swansea City injuries and suspensions

Out: Nathan Dyer (hamstring). In Doubt: Ben Davies (muscle).

Lewis Holtby's knee will keep him out of this match an striker Adebayor continues to regain fitness after being given extended leave. Swansea's only major issue is Nathan Dyer whose hamstring is likely to keep him out today. Ben Davies is doubtful.
